DIY Swim Tether from Bike Tubes

Make your own swim tether for stationary swimming with two old bicycle tubes.

All you need are two bicycle tubes (ask your local bicycle shop, if you can have some of their old tubes):

Cut one of the tubes in half and remove the valve:

At both ends of the tube cut a small hole with a knife:

Form two loops at the end of the tube by first pulling one end of the tube through one hole:

And then pull the first loop through the second hole:

So will have two loops for the ankles:

To install the swim tether, tie the first tube to the pool ladder:

and attach second tube (with the loops) to the first one:

Never drop your smartphone again with this simple holder

This is all you need to add a simple secure holder to your silicone smartphone cover:

1: Electrical tape

2: A piece of an old bicycle tube

3: A bostitch

4: Scissors

First attach the piece of bicycle tube to the cover from behind:

Then cover the bostitchs on both sides with some electrical tape (in case the tape does not stick on the back of the silicone, just put the tape on the phone so it won't scratch).

ALL DONE! Your smartphone is now securely placed in your hand, no more dropped phones.

P.S.: The holder can be easily removed without leaving any holes in the cover.
